Tags

Tags are a simple way to add labels to tasks for organization. Unlike Contexts and Lists, tasks can be assigned as many tags as needed.

Here is a very simple example of how tags can be used to organize tasks. The following task list contains tasks that need to be done for school.

By touching the Tag toolbar item, the list of current tags is shown. By touching the "School" tag it is selected as indicated with the check mark.

The task list is now filtered to only show the tasks assigned the School tag. An indicator is place on the Tag toolbar item to show that a tag is selected and the selected tags are shown above the task list.

We can select multiple tags to filter by selecting the Tag toolbar item and selecting an additional tag like "Volunteer".

Now the list is filtered to show the tasks that match the School OR Volunteer tags.

You can create a new task by typing the name of the task in the space above the task names. After entering a new tag name select the Done key on the keyboard.

To modify or delete a tag, select the Edit button on the navigation bar (the top left corner). The tags list will be put into edit mode. Selecting a red circle will delete a tag and selecting the tag will take you to a screen to edit the name of a tag. All tasks assigned to the tag will be updated with the new tag name.

To assign a tag to a task or make changes to tags on a task, select a task and then select the Tags row in the task details. The tag selector will appear and you'll be able to add and remove tags.
