Moving tasks from Toodledo to iCal

It is possible to move your data from Toodledo to iCal but it will not preserve the contexts or folders currently assigned to tasks. When you move them they will all be imported into a single Calendar in iCal.

Here are the steps to move your data:

  • Synchronize Todo with Toodledo to pick up any updates you may have made on your iPhone/iPod touch before continuing.
  • Log in to Toodledo.com and select "Export" from the options on the left (or right depending on your settings).
  • Under "iCal Tasks Export" select "Download iCal File". This will download a .ics file containing all of your tasks from Toodledo.
  • If iCal automatically started and is asking you to import the file, we recommend you create a new calendar to import the tasks. You can always move them later and if an error should occur, you can always delete the new calendar. From the list of calendars select "New Calendar" at the bottom. You should get a new calendar named Toodledo.

    If iCal did not automatically prompt you, start iCal and select Import from the file menu. Select "Import an iCal File" and browse to where the .ics file was downloaded. Follow the steps above to import it into a new calendar.
